Privacy Policy

• Account details. Your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
• Family profiles. The first name (or nickname) and optional age of each child you add. Please use first names or nicknames only — no addresses, schools, or other identifying details are needed.
• Reading activity. Which stories have been read, reading streaks, achievements, and stories you create in the app.
• Technical data. Basic device and browser information, approximate country (used only to show prices in your local currency), and error logs needed to keep the app working.
• Membership information. If you join a paid membership, our payment provider handles the transaction. We store only the membership status and period — never card numbers.

To create your account, keep your library and family profiles in sync across devices, track reading progress and streaks, unlock stories you have access to, narrate stories aloud, and answer support requests.

Accounts are created and managed by a parent or guardian. Children do not sign up themselves and we do not ask children for personal information. Child profiles exist only inside the parent account and are visible only to that account.

Data is stored in our managed cloud database with row-level security rules, so each family's records can only be read by that family's signed-in account. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Administrative access is limited to what is required to operate and support the app.

Some optional features can be unlocked by watching an ad instead of subscribing. Any ads shown are non-personalised and comply with the Google Play Families policy. We do not use children's data for advertising or build advertising profiles.

We do not sell personal data. We share information only with the service providers needed to run Storynest — hosting and database, authentication, narration (text-to-speech), and payment processing — and only to the extent required to deliver those features.

• Edit or delete any child profile from your account at any time.
• Request a copy of your data, or full deletion of your account and its content.
• Turn narration off and simply read aloud yourself.

We keep your account data while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile, child profiles, reading progress, and stories you created, except where we must keep limited billing records for accounting purposes.
